Tikkun Olam, a Hebrew word meaning repair, is a concept referring to 'repairing or perfecting the world'. As such, we always seek opportunities to help make our community and world a better place, both as a company and as individuals. We will do this without regard to race, religion or nationality, as we believe we are all one in more aspects than not. We vow to continue to develop our charitable giving each year and make a difference.
During the last quarter of each year the Lyons family identifies a worthwhile cause to focus our fundraising efforts toward. Activities include, bake sales, wine auctions, pumpkin carving raffles, gift basket raffles and a favorite each year is a weekly companywide lunch. Every Tuesday an employee prepares lunch for the company and sells it by the plate with the proceeds going to the cause of choice. We often wonder who wins, the cash recipients or the company that breaks bread together…
