Roofing Project

Your FAQs Answered: Your Roofing Project (Part 1)

When you find yourself in need of a new roofing system, it can be a stressful experience. It represents a significant investment of time and money, and the final product is something that you will depend on day in and day out for years to come. With so much at stake, you should always feel free to ask as many questions as you can so that you can make the right decision for you and your family.

Our team here at Lyons Roofing is completely committed to customer satisfaction. We have over 20 years of dedicated service backing each and every roof we install, and the reputation we have built over that time is a great source of pride for us. No matter how large or small the project may be, we take our responsibility to you and your family seriously, which is why we have assembled answers to some of the most common questions we receive from our customers.

The Question: Do I need to be home while you are working on my roof?

The Answer: In most cases, you will not need to be present while we work. We understand that your time is valuable and being home for the duration of the project may not be feasible depending on your job. Whenever possible, we ensure that we have access to everything we need without necessitating a change in your schedule. However, there are a handful of situations that will require someone to be home. Most common among these are if you are getting skylights or solar tubes installed as part of your roofing system – in these cases, we will need access to the home to handle these parts of the installation. No matter what the situation, however, it is important that we have a reliable way to contact you while work is in progress in case any questions come up.

The Question: How loud will it be in the house while my roof is being worked on?

The Answer: We’re not going to sugarcoat it for you – roofing is a noisy, messy business. Whether you are getting relatively simple repairs or a completely new roofing system, you can be certain that it won’t be a peaceful time to relax in the house. That said, we strive constantly to ensure that we stay on schedule and minimize the inconvenience as much as possible.

The Question: Can you come at 6 when I’m home?

The Answer: We do everything in our power to ensure that your schedule is accommodated as we go about our work. The only constraints we have to deal with are HOA rules, daylight, and weather-related safety concerns such as frost, high winds or other forms of inclement weather.
